Cesare Valli is a consultant and entrepreneur, expert in integrated communication, financial communication, privatization and corporate crisis management.
After studying Economics at La Sapienza University in Rome and a brief period at UCLA Berkeley, he began working with the international firm Foote Cone & Belding (now part of the Publicis Group), becoming the first Italian member of the agency's Multinational Business Group and working on highly visible Integrated Communication projects.
His professional career then continued at J. Walter Thompson (WPP plc), where he was called in to build a new integrated communications division and where he implemented some of the first television sponsorship initiatives for the agency's clients.
Over the years, he gradually assumed the positions of General Manager, President and CEO of the Italian office of Hill & Knowlton Strategies (WPP plc). In addition to his leadership for the Italian office, he added the responsibility for Southern and Eastern Europe Regions becoming member of the company's Global Council.
In 2015, after overseeing Expo's international communications, he joined SEC as Managing Director with an ambitious project of several acquisitions and listing at London Stock Exchange.
In addition to his proven skills in integrated communications, Cesare Valli distinguished himself professionally by following five privatizations, including that of Credito Italiano (today Unicredit), and over twenty national and international IPOs, including dual-listing and delisting. This has made him one of the leading experts in the field of privatizations, financial communication, corporate crisis management and restructuring in Italy and abroad.
His vast and multifaceted experience also led him to become President of Assorel for several terms, as well as member of the Board of Answer, Vice President of the Italian Communication Federation, and Vice President of Assocomunicazione. He has been professor at Ca’ Foscari, CUOA and Siena University, amongst others. He is currently a Member of the Scientific Committee of Foundation of Cavalieri del Lavoro, Director Quaerys and CEO JMTools.
